TKN Scissor Bioclimatic (Rolling Roof)

"Rolling Roof" or "Retractable Roof" systems are roof systems that cover the upper part of the structures and can be opened and closed. These types of roofs are used to both connect the interior with the open air and to provide protection against weather conditions. The features of Rolling Roof systems and how they should be can be summarized as follows:

Features:

1. Modular Design : Manufactured and assembled in parts. Thus, it can be easily expanded or moved.
2. Material Selection : Generally aluminum, steel or high-strength composite materials are used. Material selection is important in terms of durability and aesthetics of the system.
3. Automation : These can be automatic systems powered by electric motors. They can be integrated with remote control or smart home systems.
4. Heat and Light Control : Roof panels are generally designed to control heat and light transmission. Transparent materials such as glass or polycarbonate may be used in some systems.
5. Water Insulation : Special insulation systems are used at the edges and joints to ensure rainwater tightness.

How Should It Be?

Rolling Roof systems offer excellent solutions in terms of both functionality and aesthetics by using the right materials and technology.

Usage areas:

• Aluminum profiles used in the system are 6063-76 F25 (7580 Briner Hardness). Suitable, long-lasting connection elements.
• All aluminum profiles used in the system are chromated before painting, cleaned in acidic oiling and electrostatic powder painted.
• The screw and bolt groups used in the system are chrome (inox) stainless.
• The panels can be opened axially at a minimum angle of 75 to 95 degrees (adjustable). (Important for breaking and preventing sunlight coming from the facade.)
• In our system, hair wick is never used, EPDM wick gasket is used.
• In order to prevent dust, water etc. substances on the upper part from spilling down during the movement of the lamellas, the groove inside the lamellas has been specially designed by our company.
• The system can be installed flat under normal conditions, or inclined when desired. Thanks to the grooves on 4 sides, water intake is prevented without any inclination.
• Metal accessories are first galvanized and then electrostatic oven paint is applied.
• 712 timing belts provide movement between the engine and the moving mechanism.
• Polyurethane foam filling is optionally used inside the lamellas for thermal insulation. 11. The system to be used has a 5-year engine and 2-year mechanical warranty.
• Each system module consists of vertical and horizontal carrier profiles. 130x150 horizontal main carriers are specially designed as 137x170.
• System modules must have static properties to withstand 50 kg + 25 kg/m2 distributed load and 50 kg/m2 wind load.
• The silicone to be used in the assembly of gutter fittings must be polyurethane based and have neutral properties.
• Flange application screws should be M12x10 jacketed steel dowels or rods with galvanized coating. (To ensure the protection of floor insulation)
• The system is easy to install (there are no 45 cuts or corners at the gutter joints). In this way, insulation is very simple and does not tend to any water vulnerability.
• The system has a specially designed LED space of 4 cm on all four sides and is supported by a rubberized 12-volt Samsung silicone LED (insulated) and its illumination is satisfactory and makes a difference.
